Further to a successful public consultation in summer 2007 a
series of public realm improvements are underway on the

- Refurbishments to the pavements on Folkestone Road including
new surfacing and widening where possible.
- A new wide set of access steps between Folkestone Road and the
station frontage.
- Creation of a new landscaped embankment between the Folkestone
Road and Station Approach Road.
- New hard landscaping, street furniture and lighting throughout
the station frontage.
- Construction of a new canopy for shuttle bus and taxi
users.
A new direct access between the Priory Steps and the station
frontage.
